Originally from Michigan, I have made my home in Georgia for over 30 years. I have recently taken up photography so I can do more than carry the tripod! I upgraded my camera from a 3 MP Canon A75 camera to a 5MP Fuji S-5200 with a 10x zoom, and now to a Canon G9. My other interests are quilting, sewing, flower gardening and cooking. I enjoy taking pictures of my flowers and quilts as well as landscapes. I have been employed at Houston Healthcare for over 30 years.

Regenia Brabham
Regenia Brabham

Regenia Brabham has always enjoyed photographing her children and the other events occuring around her, but did not become serious about it until 2004. Vowing never to go digital, she purchased a Rebel G2 film camera and started pouring over photography books, magazines, and websites. She joined the Middle Georgia Camera Club that year and attended many photography workshops. She also took a mail in course from the New York Institute of Photography. Regenia broke her film vow and is now completely digital. She is trying to go pro and is now doing commercial, portrait, and wedding photography. Her son is a paintballer and has opened up the world of photographing paintball tournaments. Her favorite photographs are those moments that just happen and make you feel good.

I've probably always had the photo bug ever since I knew my Uncle Fred. I inherited one of his old cameras and some lenses and still use them from time to time. I recently went from my little PnS to a Canon RebelXti. I love it. I mainly use my 70-200 IS lens and my 18-55 lens. I love shooting nature, landscapes, animals, candid shots, buildings, unique items/places and automobiles. In April 08, I had a photo published for a Girl Scout 5K flyer and several photos purchased. I enjoyed my first client shoot- Mort and Andrea's Maine Coon cats. When I'm not taking photos, I enjoy running, gardening, traveling and relaxing.

I bought my first camera in 1955 from a friend who taught me a little about light meters, shutter speed and aperture. I began photographing scenes in Japan, Hawaii, and other locations in the Pacific while in the Air Force. After many years of photo inactivity, I became interested again after buying my wife a film DSL camera and saw how much fun she was having with it. I soon upgraded to a digital camera primarily to photograph birds. I entered my first competition in the 2002 Georgia National Fair where I was awarded three ribbons. I was hooked. I enjoy shooting anything that catches my eye, but nature images are my favorite.

I was born in Havana,Cuba and my family moved back to the United States when I was a eighteen months old. I have a passion and obsession for photography that grew out of a need for photo references for my art. Now art has taken a backseat to my new love. Having won numerous awards is gratifying. My favorite subjects are animals and nature. Some of my photography can be viewed at www.beedazzlingphotography.smugmug.com.

I have been taking pictures for 40 years, but have been taking photographs since my youngest grandson was born two years ago. My kids tell me to focus on landscapes and forget people photos. I think I agree with them, I love to see the beauty of nature and hope to capture it. I like my stuff and hope you do as well.

I grew up in Fort Walton Beach, FL with my parents and four sisters. My husband's Air Force career brought us to Warner Robins in 2007. I've always been interested in photograpy and love taking pictures. I've decided that now is the time to learn about the technical aspects of photography in order to improve my photographs. I enjoy shooting nature, landscapes, candids, and of course, my family.
